As a therapist, I believe that to have a successful counseling experience it is critical that you feel fully listened to and understood. I use careful listening and reflection to join with you to address what is most important to you. I have a compassionate, empathetic style which I believe is essential for us to move forward as we discuss what is troubling you.
I have helped many clients deal with a variety of difficult issues including relationship difficulties, grief and loss, recovery from abuse, adult children of alcoholics and life transitions. I ensure that you are fully understood and attain the support you need to deal with life’s struggles. We work through the feelings associated with the hardship and learn realistic coping strategies. My goal is for you to learn how to best deal with the troubles you are experiencing and to develop better coping methods. This in turn, can lead to greater life satisfaction and a more insightful understanding of yourself.
